During the recent Manila Real Estate Forum held at Manila Hotel, the founder of www.sulit.com, or popularly known as “Sulit” among netizens, Mr. RJ David gave us some inputs on digital marketing and it advantage in making real estate sales.

Also the Sulit’s President and Chairman of the Board, Mr. David explained that more and more Filipinos are hooking up to the internet as evidenced on the Filipinos’ 22 hours of spending their time online every week, second only to Singapore in Southeast Asia.

Filipinos internet usage are based on the following percentage: 64% use social media as resource in purchase decision making, 65% interact with brands through social media, 82% use social networking as top internet activity, 39% start their internet with social networking sites, and 82% use internet for communication platform.

With 16M site visitors monthly (12.8M from the Philippines) and 180M views monthly, Sulit ranks 9th among the top websites being visited by Filipinos, making it a top Filipino website.

Why should real estate professionals market their real estate services online? Because more and more prospective buyers are going online, searching for goods and services, that includes real estate. And its not only local buyers, even the foreigners are into it.

The advantages of using online for real estate business are: its more convenient, its available in every devices such as Ipad, laptop, and mobile phones, it contains more information and selections, and it cost less time and money for both the buyer and seller.

The major players for online real estate are Sulit Real Estate, MyProperty.ph, and Bahay.ph for classified ads; Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest for Social Network; and Blogger and WordPress for blog sites.

Mr. David pointed out that the following should be observed in online real estate: price, selections/ options, convenience, and trust.
