REAL ESTATE NETWORKING, SYNERGY, AND INTEGRATION: REAL ESTATE HUB

Last year, Manila was cited as a real estate investment and destination this year by the Urban Land Institute and PWC. The nation’s capital ranked 11th for investment prospects and 9th for development prospects out of 22 cities in the list of top investment cities in the Emerging Trends in Real Estate 2013 report.

According to the ULI report, “Markets in Manila have performed well in the past couple of years as a result of the growing economy, a transparent and business-friendly government, and the country’s ongoing success—an ‘eye-opener’—in attracting foreign corporate clients to its business process outsourcing (BPO) facilities. Bureaucracy has declined and transparency has improved considerably over the past few years.”

The emergence of Manila is a part of the trend showing investors turning into secondary markets and emerging cities like Manila in search for returns.

“Manila is in the midst of a property boom. It’s the best that we’ve seen in decades—clearly a sign of the increasing confidence in our economy,” Judith Lopez, Chairman and Senior Partner at Isla Lipana & Co., PwC member firm said. “The gross domestic product (GDP) of the Philippines expanded 7.1 percent year‐on‐year in the third quarter of 2012, the fastest pace since 2010, driven by higher household expenditures, construction and investments. This is nearly the same pace as China and is even the best in Southeast Asia—it shows the Philippines’ strong economic growth. The government’s transparency has significantly improved, making the country more attractive to foreign investors. The positive outlook in Manila’s real estate sector is mirrored by the great opportunities presented by the business process outsourcing (BPO) and gaming sectors over the next two years.”

The other objective of REHub is to provide learning to new real estate practitioners. “Learning is an active and a continuing process. We learn by doing. And by this, REHub was likewise conceptualized in order to give the appropriate trainings and seminars to the new real estate practitioners who believe that there is always something new that one could learn and exchange insights with,” Doc Mary said.

“At REHub, everybody benefits : buyers, sellers, investors, educators and start-up entrepreneurs assisted by REHub’s professional management are assured of cost-effective operational tools, cooperative and integrated marketing support systems, where consolidated resources shall be deployed within the highest standards of professional ethics,” Doc Mary said.

REHub’s 3-storey building is built in 555 sqms. of lot area and with 1,500 sqms total combined floor area. The 3rd floor is the Event Center where real estate sectors can hold real estate events and can accommodate 500 people.

Doc  Mary said that her ambitious dream might have not worked in this current generation but taking a cue from what Albert Einstein once said, “What the mind conceive, it can achieve,” she was able to make it into a reality.

“More than a decade of managing My Hometown Realty and Developer, Inc. paved the opportunities for my management team to : meet the whos’ who in the industry,  to learn what needs to be learned in real estate operational processes, and where to buy and sell real estate products & services,” she said.

“As a hands-on business manager and owner cum marketing executive, I had personally experienced transacting businesses in every door of every service provider – which proved to be extremely costly – thus, the concept of REHub came into existence,” Doc Mary, who owns the MGS Group of Companies, said. Her Group of Companies includes My HomeTown Realty and Developer Inc., Tronix Master Inc., Sight Saver Optical Clinic, and Global Lightning Sales.

Doc Mary believes that her dream was a blessed one because of the number 12. “I believe that nothing happens by accident, and GOD has a purpose. I never expected that my dream of having this kind of business will lead me to a complete number of 12,” she said.

She is referring to December 12, 2012 or shortened to 12-12-12 as the date of REHub’s grand opening, REHub’s address at 12 Quezon Avenue., corner 7 Kitanlad St., Quezon City, the 12 departments to deliver cost-effective services, the 12 event sponsors, the 12 affiliated associations for everyone to learn, network and fellowship, the 12 developers gracing today’s milestone, the 12 media partners, the 12-months’ continuing professional development programs, the 12 Mentors from the academe, industry and government, the 12 marketing events, the 12 roadshow presentations across the globe, and the 12 days from the opening, REHub’s management will be at people’s call and they shall only take rest for Christmas eve on the 24th of December.
